For the Love of :: Ampersand

I’m not sure what it is about the ampersand symbol that has sparked such a cult following (I’ve never seen anything similar for any other punctuation mark or symbol), I just know that I love the curves of the ampersand.

  1. They really are so pretty! I read an article recently, though I’m blanking on where it came from, that talked about the typographical history of ampersands. It evolved from two letters meaning “and” running together over time. Of course, I’m blanking on that too, but there’s some interesting Googling to be done šŸ™‚
